New York U.S. Congressional Candidate Andrew McCarthy Urges People to Get on Gab

The following article, New York U.S. Congressional Candidate Andrew McCarthy Urges People to Get on Gab, was first published on Big League Politics. U.S. Congressional candidate Andrew McCarthy of New York appeared on Big League Politics where he talked up Gab, the pro-free speech social media platform. “I’m really proud of what [Andrew Torba] has done over at Gab… You need to look into what’s going on over there because they have such a resilient network on the logistical side of things and the hardware side of things,” said McCarthy, who is an Air Force veteran and former military intelligence analyst running for Congress in the seat of the retiring pro-impeachment RINO, John Katko. McCarthy explained that Gab’s sidestepping of Big Tech’s infrastructure is what makes it such a promising platform for the protection of free speech in a digital age that is growing more Orwellian with each passing day. “You’re going to continue to see more [alternatives] because…Twitter is probably going to be on its way out for conservatives,” he said, referencing their capricious ban of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). “It’s not complicated. They just lie to you about why they get you off these platforms, and that’s obviously not free speech. Like the old libertarian adage was like, ‘If you don’t like it, why don’t you go build your own?’ Well, they did, so go to Gab, go to these other options, and you can actually have a conversation like this,” McCarthy said. Big League Politics has reported on Twitter ramping up its censorship regime since the appointment of a left-wing, anti-American foreigner as new CEO: “Just one day after Parag Agrawal was named CEO of Twitter, the monopoly social media platform is instituting sweeping new content restrictions. Twitter is banning all “private media” from being shared on

German Government Demands Big Tech Crack Down On Telegram, Other Free Speech Apps

Following threats to shut down the pro free speech encrypted messaging platform Telegram, the German government has stepped up its efforts by putting pressure on Apple and Google to take a more hands on approach to limiting the content people are sharing on the app. Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser claimed that the app is contributing to an acceleration of “right-wing extremism” and “conspiracy theories,” in the country. The minister tweeted “We remind #Apple and #Google of their social responsibility. As long as they offer apps like #Telegram in their stores, they are also a form of accelerator for #right-wing extremism and #conspiracy theories. No place for #hate and #calls for murder!” — Nancy Faeser (@NancyFaeser) January 19, 2022 In another tweet, Faeser asserted “Everyone has the #right to peaceful assembly. We draw the line when it comes to #hate and #baiting. #Right-wing extremists are increasingly abusing the #Corona demos for their ideology against the #state. We will crack down there with consistent #law enforcement.” — Nancy Faeser (@NancyFaeser) January 19, 2022 A further statement statement from Germany’s regional interior ministers specifically noted that those organising against the government’s COVID restrictions are using Telegram. “The social network Telegram and comparable providers serve people in Germany as a networking [platform for Covid protest movements], corona deniers and right-wing radicals,” the statement read. Last week, Faeser told the German media “We

Major New Report Finds Online Censorship is Self-Defeating

A major new report by the esteemed Royal Society finds that online censorship is self-defeating and only causes individuals to distrust authorities even more. Of course, the more cynical observer would assert that online censorship isn’t driven by the benevolent motivation to halt “dangerous misinformation.” But by the very malevolent motivation to bury the truth.
